Parking

The Darwin and Pride Hill Shopping Centres are right in the centre of Shrewsbury so are convenient for all the car parks. The Council operates 12 car parks in the Borough, providing approximately 2645 spaces. These include:

  • Raven Meadows (Multi-storey) - Long Stay/Short Stay - open Mon-Sat 0700 to 2030 hours, Sun 1000 to 1700 hours
  • Abbey Foregate - Long Stay/Short Stay
  • Frankwell Main - Long Stay/Short Stay
  • Frankwell Riverside - Short Stay - Up to 3 hours
  • Frankwell Quay - Short Stay - Up to 3 hours
  • Bridge Street - Short Stay - Up to 2 hours
  • Barker Street - Short Stay - Up to 2 hours (owner - Morris & Co)
  • St Austin's Street - Short Stay - Up to 2 hours

Car parks are "Pay and Display" except Raven Meadows Multi Storey, where a "Pay on Foot" system is in operation.

The nearest and most convenient car Park for the Shopping Centres is the Raven Meadows (Multi-storey) Car Park. There is access from Floor 7 of the Car Park directly to the lower level of the Darwin Shopping Centre. Lifts or stairs at the Southern end of each floor of the Car Park will give you access to the Riverside Shopping Mall and then onto the Pride Hill Shopping Centre.

A footbridge from any of the Frankwell Car Parks will give you access through the Riverside Mall and then onto the Pride Hill Shopping Centre.

From any of the other Town Centre Car Parks follow the signs to the main area of the Town where both Shopping Centres have frontages onto Pride Hill.

Park and Ride:

Should you wish not to take the drive into the Town Centre, Shrewsbury has an excellent Park and Ride scheme. Every main road into Town has signs directing you to the most convenient Park and Ride Car Park. For your convenience ask the driver to drop you at the stop outside Marks and Spencer for access to the Darwin Shopping Centre or outside HSBC on High Street for access to the Pride Hill Shopping Centre with Riverside Mall. There is a short 3 minute walk from HSBC along the road and turn right onto Pride Hill.

Park and Ride tickets cost £1.20 per person, with U-16s free!
