This October half-term, The Darwin, Shrewsbury is hosting a week of free, frightfully fun activities for families to enjoy. From Saturday 25th to Friday 31st October, there’s something for everyone – from potion-making and spooky games to a prize-filled Skeleton Hunt!
On Thursday 30th and Friday 31st October from 11am – 3pm, head to the lower level of The Darwin for:

Potion-making classes – mix up magical creations.

Spooky themed fair games – fun challenges and prizes.

Día de los Muertos face painting – vibrant, colourful designs to celebrate in style.
Throughout the week, the centre will also host the return of the Skeleton Hunt, giving families the chance to explore The Darwin and win fantastic prizes!

Collect your trail sheet from Megastore Collectibles (middle level).

Follow the clues to find the hidden Skeleton Crew members throughout The Darwin.

Return your completed sheet to Megastore Collectibles for a sweet treat and entry into the prize draw.
One lucky winner will receive a £50 H&M gift card, and thanks to Megastore Collectibles, there’s even more to play for — they’ll also be giving away three pairs of tickets to The Shrewsbury Card Show for three lucky winners, taking place on Sunday 16th November at Shrewsbury Sports Village.
The Shrewsbury Card Show will feature over 100 tables of top trading card vendors — from Pokémon and Disney Lorcana to One Piece, Magic: The Gathering and more — plus live music from The Voice 2023 finalist Callum Doignie, fun competitions, free activities and great family entertainment.
The Skeleton Hunt is completely free to take part in and takes around 10 minutes to complete – perfect to fit into your shopping trip. Sweet treats available while stocks last, and prize draw winners will be announced after 1st November.
