House Rules

Whether you’re a local or a visitor here for shopping, treating, or eating, it’s important to us that each and every one of you feels at home. With that in mind we have a few simple house rules that we hope will keep everyone happy.

The Darwin House Rules:

  • Please always keep an eye on any children in your care, at all times.
  • No swearing, shouting or use of other unpleasant or discriminatory language will be tolerated.
  • Intimidating behaviour of any kind towards other visitors, our staff or our businesses is not acceptable. You will be politely asked to leave.
  • We do not allow commercial filming or photography unless it is agreed by Centre Management first. Just pop by and have a chat to sort it out. Drone use is also not allowed. If you are taking shots of yourself, friends, or family then that is fine.
  • No leafleting, canvassing, conducting third party interviews or surveys unless we give the thumbs up first.
  • Selling goods without Centre Management’s prior go-ahead is not allowed anywhere in the mall or associated areas.
  • We do not permit busking in the centre unless agreed in advance by Centre Management.
  • Please refrain from climbing or sitting on any balustrade, barrier, fence or railing or any inappropriate use of customer lifts and escalators.
  • Take care when entering or exiting our lifts. When the doors start to close during exiting or entering, just stop and they will open automatically.
  • No ball games please.
  • Bikes, rollerblades, micro-scooters and skateboards or any similar products are not allowed to be used.
  • No throwing any objects within the Centre.
  • Please no running on the malls.
  • Shirts/tops and footwear must be always worn.
  • Crash helmets should be removed upon entering the Centre.
  • There is a strict no smoking/Vaping/ Electronic cigarettes policy and alcohol Is not allowed to be consumed in the Centre.
  • We welcome well-behaved animals on a lead, but please clean up any mess they create.
  • No dropping litter, except in the bins.
  • Any act of vandalism towards property belonging to The Darwin, or our businesses, will be dealt with accordingly and the local police informed.

This list isn’t exhaustive. We have the right to deny anyone entry whose actions we feel are inappropriate. Whilst we open our doors every day to one and all, the Centre is in-fact private property so anyone who ignores these rules or commits a crime will be denied entry for as long as Centre Management see fit.

To the ninety-nine-point nine percent of you who would not dream of being the slightest bit anti-social, thank you for taking the time and trouble to read this.

Thank you for your understanding and please enjoy your visit!
