Every Child Deserves a Little Christmas Magic!
Here at The Darwin, Shrewsbury, we’re thrilled to partner once again with the amazing Little Stars charity to launch the Santa’s Little Stars 2025 Campaign! Our shared mission is simple: to ensure every child across Shropshire, who might otherwise go without, experiences the magic of Christmas morning.
The campaign’s tagline says it all: “Every Child Deserves a Little Christmas Magic.”
With the continued pressures of the cost-of-living crisis, this year’s campaign is more important than ever. Over the past four years, the generosity of our community has helped bring joy to 1,471 children! Let’s make 2025 the biggest year yet.
Key Dates & Who We Help
- Campaign Dates: Monday, October 27th to Sunday, November 30th, 2025.
- Recipients: Children from birth to age 17, and we also extend a thoughtful gift to pregnant women.
Little Stars works closely with referral partners to identify families most in need, ensuring your donation reaches the children who need it most. Last year, your incredible support allowed the charity to give more than one present to each child—let’s create that extra magic again!
How You Can Become a Santa’s Little Star ?
We couldn’t do this without your help! Your generosity, whether through a gift or a financial donation, makes a real difference right here in our community.
1. Donate a New Gift
We are collecting new, unwrapped toys in their original packaging. Simply drop them off at our designated collection points throughout The Darwin:
- Outside The Collective
- Outside The Entertainer
- Outside Clarks Shoes
- Inside Home Bargains
You can also drop gifts directly at the Little Stars Charity Shop on the lower level of The Darwin during their opening hours: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10am-2pm.
2. Donate Online
Prefer to give financially? You can contribute directly via the dedicated Santa’s Little Stars JustGiving page (link). Every pound ensures that no referred child goes without a gift.
3. Get Your Workplace Involved
Businesses, schools, and community groups can play a vital role! Why not:
- Organise a toy collection at your office or shop.
- Run a Christmas jumper day or festive fundraiser.
- Set up a dedicated donation point within your organisation.
